Old Havana is the municipality that covers the oldest part of the city of Havana. It was the territory that housed the city during the first colonial centuries.
It limits to the east and the south with the Bay of the Havana and is separated to the west of its neighbor Center Havana, by the majestic Prado street. Its most known neighborhoods are Santo Ángel, Cathedral, Plaza Vieja, Belén, Jesús María, San Isidro and Tallapiedra.
Old Havana is the most important colonial center of Cuba and one of the most important in America, where fortresses and other great ancient monuments have a seat, making it one of the richest colonial sets in Latin America.
Its urban historic center is a World Heritage Site and hoards in its streets many of the main historical and cultural attractions of the city.
